Diese Art kommt in Südeuropa, Afrika und der Levante vor. Rüppell entdeckte sie in Aegypten. Ich selbst habe sie in Oberitalien, in Turin, Mailand und am Gardasee, in Mittelitalien, Sicilien, Istrien und Dalmatien beobachtet. Die Nordgrenze ihrer Verbreitung erreicht sie am südlichen Fuße der Alpen.
